Mental Health in The Black Community

Kristy Standford of KL Media

My Fluffy Puffs is proud to sponsor four (4) free tickets to Kristy Stanford (follow her on Twitter here) first documentary, “Mental Health in the Black Community”.

I feel this is an often prevalent issue we as a community tend to shy away from - depression. Many of us have been marginalized in ways that may not be physically violent (some are not as fortunate) but cannot get ahead socially, economically and/or environmentally. Life can be very hard and we need mental fortitude and positive support to combat feelings of hopelessness.

Kristy has spent close to a year deciphering common misconceptions about mental health versus mental illness. If you or someone you know are in the Detroit, Michigan area please spread the word!
